Senior Web Application Developer:
We are looking for a talented front-end/application engineer to help build Livemocha’s next generation learning application. You’re a savvy technologist and you have the portfolio to prove it. If you are a person who gets excited about being able to develop a product that changes the lives of millions of people all over the world, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- You will help build the Livemocha learning application (learn.livemocha.com)
- You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to refine the user experience
- You will work as a team member to ensure that implementation details translate through to shipping products and services that serve consumer and business needs.
Requirements:
- Familiar with JavaScript MVC frameworks such as SproutCore, JavaScriptMVC, Backbone.js, Ember.js or AngularJS
- Clear understanding of application development via REST web services
- Show product ownership and strong inter-personal skills
- Would enjoy working in an agile development environment
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatible front-end development
- Strong emphasis on teamwork
Qualifications:
- A proven track record of launching interactive internet sites/applications
- 5+ years of relevant application programming experience
- Demonstrated experience building maintainable client-side javascript applications
- Demonstrated experience with HTML5
- Game development experience a plus but not required
