Userplane – the third party chat tool that the legacy Livemocha chat was built on – has closed.
We understand that this news is being shared with our community after the fact, and we apologize for not sharing it sooner. When we received the notice in May of this year that Userplane would be closing, we were expecting to shut down the legacy Livemocha site completely in June. It was only in the last few weeks that we made the decision to allow our members to access the legacy site so that they could gather the things that we are not yet able to support in the new version. In that decision, we missed a piece of the puzzle that is important to our members, and for that, we are sorry.
The Good News
Messaging your Language Partners and friends is available on both the new and legacy sites, and, when two parties are online at the same time, messaging is in real time!
