It’s time for some music!

This week, Brasil – for no other reason than it’s cold in Seattle and I want to think about warm, sandy beaches, and sun-kissed faces.

Let’s get started with Iyexá

Batucada rhythms

Batucada is a substyle of samba and refers to an African influenced Brazilian percussive style, usually performed by an ensemble, known as a Bateria. Batucada is characterized by its repetitive style and fast pace*. There’s no real video with this song, but I’ll tell you what! If you get up and dance, you’ll get your workout done for the day! Olé Brasil!
