For this edition of Saturday Morning Music, we are featuring three of our Livemocha community members who have submitted videos for the Livemocha Video Challenge* of a more musical theme. The songs and performances were so great that we thought we would share what our members have sent in and the songs that inspired them.

Enjoy!

First up – Catrina Dihn with a song by Zaz called Je Veux

And now, by Zaz herself… with lyrics!

Next, Heather Earp singing Girl from Ipanema in her target language, Portuguese.

And now, performed by Astrud Gilberto.

Sarah Chia and her husband Billy singing Tomalo by Hillsong United

Finally, Hillsong United

Well done everyone! We continue to be impresses by your videos and imaginative ways of keeping your language fresh. If you are interested in being a part of the Livemocha Summer Video Challenge, go here for more information. There are only three weeks left to get your videos in.

*The Livemocha Summer Video Challenge is a 9-week long challenge (ending August 31st, 2012) where language learners of all ages and nationalities send in at least 3 videos of 1-5 minutes in length of them sharing their methods of keeping their target language fresh; either via speaking their target language, reading a poem, singing a song, sharing their language learning tips, anything really, so as to keep what they have learned during the rest of the year fresh. At the end of the challenge, all who have complied with the rules (see the following link) will receive a Gold Key, which allows 1-year free all access to Livemocha ($99 value). See details here.
